Off the Pacific coast of Baja California, Cedros Island feels like a world of its own. Rugged mountains rise above crystal-clear water, with wild coastlines and endless blue skies creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable fishing adventure.
This summer, a couple members of the AA Worms crew headed south to experience Cedros Island, with Cedros Sportfishing guiding the adventure. From the moment the small plane lifted off toward the island, we knew this trip was going to be about more than just fishing. It was a chance to get away, explore an incredible part of Baja, and experience everything Cedros had to offer.
Once we hit the water, the fishing didn't disappoint.
The AA Worms Bad Bubba Shad quickly became our go-to lure, producing an incredible mix of Calico Bass, White Seabass, Yellowtail, and more. Around every rocky point, kelp bed, and stretch of coastline was another opportunity for a bite—and you never quite knew what was going to eat the bait next.
That variety is part of what makes fishing Cedros so much fun.
But some of the best parts of a fishing trip happen after the rods are put away. Back on the island, fresh-caught fish became tacos, fishing stories were traded over dinner, and there was time to simply enjoy the scenery and slower pace of life on Cedros.
Great fishing, great food, good friends, and one incredible island.
